Law of Demand


Introduction 

The law of demand was introduced by prof. Alfred Marshall in his book ,'principles of economics' which was published in 1890. The law explains the functional relationship between price and quantity demanded.
  

Statement of the law

According to prof. Alfred Marshall , " Other thing being constant , higher the price of a commodity , smaller is the  quantity demanded and lower  the price of  a commodity ,  larger is the quantity demanded "

 पानी का असंगत व्यवहार (Anomalous behaviour of water )       सामान्यतः द्रव को सीमित तापमान तक गर्मकरने पर उनका प्रसरण होता है तथा ठंड़ा करने से उनका संकुचन होता है। परंतु पानी विशिष्ट तथा अपवादात्मक व्यवहार दर्शाता है। 0० C तापमान के पानी को गर्मकरने पर 4० C तापमान होने तक पानी का प्रसरण न होकर संकुचन होता है । 4० C पर पानी का आयतन सबसे कम होता है और 4० C से अधिक तापमान में वृदि्ध करने पर पानी का आयतन बढ़ता जाता है । 0० C से 4 ०C इस तापमान के बीच होनेवाले पानी के इस व्यवहार को ‘पानी का असंगत व्यवहार’ कहते है ।        1 kg द्रव्यमान के पानी को 0० C से ऊष्मा देकर तापमान तथा आयतन नोट करके आलेख बनाने पर, संलग्न अाकृति में दर्शाएनुसार वह वक्र होगा । इस वक्र आलेख से यह स्पष्ट होता है की 0 ०C से 4 ०C तक पानी का तापमान बढ़ने से उसका आयतन बढ़ने के बजाए कम होता है । 4 ०C पर पानी का आयतन सबसे कम होता है अर्थात पानी का घनत्व 4 ०C पर सबसे अधिक होता है । (देखिए 5.4)  होप के उपकरण की सहायता से पानी के असंगत व्यवहार का अध्ययन करना । पानी के असंगत व्यवहार का अध्ययन होप के उपकरण की सहायता से करते हैं ।

         ऊर्जाके विविध रूप आपको पता हैं । आपको यह भी पता है कि ऊर्जा का रूपांतरण हो सकता है विद्‌युत ऊर्जा का यांत्रिक ऊर्जा मे रूपांतरण करने वाले यंत्र को विद्‌युत चलित्र कहते है । हमारे आसपास दैनिक जीवन में इस विद्‌युत चलित्र को वरदान ही कहा जा सकता है । इसका उपयोग पंखे, प्रशीतक, मिक्सर, धुलाई यंत्र, संगणक, पंप में किया हुआ िदखता है ? यह विद्‌युत चलित्र कैसे कार्यकरता है?      विद्‌युत चलित्र में विद्‌युत अवरोधक आवरण वाले ताँबे के तार की एक आयताकार कुंडली होती है । यह कुंडली, चुंबक के (उदा. नाल चुंबक) उत्तर और दक्षिण ध्रुवों के बीच, आकृति में दिखाए अनुसार इस प्रकार रखी होती है कि उसकी AB तथा CD भुजाएँ चुंबकीय क्षेत्र की दिशा के लंबवत होती हैं । कुंड़ली के दो सिरे विभक्त वलय के दो अर्धभागों X तथा Y से संयोजित होते हैं । इन अर्धभागों की भीतरी सतह विद्युतरोधी होती है तथा चलित्र की धूरी से जुड़ी होती है । X तथा Y अर्धवलयों के बाहरी विद्‌युत वाहक पृष्ठभाग दो स्थिर कार्बन ब्रश E तथा F से स्पर्शकरते   हैं ।   आकृति में दर्शाए अनुसार, विद्‌युत परिपथ पूर्णकरने पर विद्युतधारा E तथा F कार्बन ब्रश
